EULA (License) popping up when Firefox starts, and unable to accept? (http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/browser/components/nsBrowserGlue.js)
There are likely memory and/or hard disk errors, as the preferences aren't being updated. Check the Windows Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc, or Start...Control Panel..Administrative Tools...Event Viewer), or dmesg on Linux/Mac. Also, ask about other crashes or strange behavior. If everything seems normal try a new profile, then removing the installation folder and re-installing. -

Texter!
Texter can be found here: http://lifehacker.com/software/texter/lifehacker-code-texter-windows-238306.php
It lets you put in keywords and replaces them with longer strings of text. It's great for replacing things you type often like %Appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and " I'm sorry, we don't officially offer Thunderbird help at this time. The best resource for these issues is http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/ . You can also try the #thunderbird channel on the Mozilla IRC server at: irc://irc.mozilla.org/thunderbird " and even longer stuff. All the instructions (there aren't many) are on that site.
It's much faster to access than Canned messages, lets you put the cursor anywhere you want in the target string, supports clipboard pasting and even supports autocorrect (although I have that off). Highly recommended.
Windows only. Mac users have: http://www.smileonmymac.com/textexpander/index.html and Linux users probably have perlscripts but I wouldn't know. -

AOL Slowing down PC.
Use AOL Dialer instead of the entire AOL Software. Firefox can then be used.
Change the following settings:
Right Click AOL Icon > AOL Connectivity > AOL Dialer Settings
In the window that just appeared, open the Dialer Settings Tab.
Under the Connecting to the Internet section, select the option AOL Dialer.
This should have AOL connect to Dial-up like Windows/IE would. Leaving the AOL Software behind. -

If a user is having a problem that may be caused by an add-on, try finding that add-on's page on http://addons.mozilla.org and check the comments to see if other users have reported the same problem. If they have, they'll often post a workaround if one is available (or suggest the user do this themselves).
